Local Business Woman/Author Donates Book Proceeds to Habitat

Butterfly, a book written by local business owner Jeannie Ji of Jeannie’s TV and Appliances, is being released this month by the publisher, AuthorHouse.  Jeannie has chosen Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity to be the recipient for the proceeds from this book as a gesture of gratitude to President Jimmy Carter whose devotion to Habitat for Humanity is well known.   After several frustrating years trying to get her brother InGe to America through the immigration process, a phone call followed by persistent communications to then President Carter led to intervention by his office.

Butterfly follows Jeannie’s birth during the bombing of South Korea to the present day.  As you read her story you’ll find a fascinating mix of family loyalties and responsibilities, absolute respect for hard work, and the strength of character to set the example for the next generation in her family.

A limited supply of the book will be available locally beginning Saturday,  November 20th at the following Terre Haute, Indiana, locations:

For more information about the book, please visit http://koreanbutterfly.com.

Volunteers on local projects:  Be sure to check the Construction Site calendar(s) under Volunteer Opportunities if you are able to give us some volunteer hours during the week.
